Maxwell and Roland from Mr. Patrick’s class had the idea to start a chess club this year at LOTWA and it is finally underway♟️we love seeing our students following their passions and becoming leaders!

We would like to thank all of the volunteers who made this year's Run for the Gold 5K & Kids Run a huge success. Great fun was had by all - and as a bonus, we had good weather. We raised $3,000 for our new playground. We're planning on breaking ground on the playground this summer.
Thanks to Brandon Garron, Erin Segarra, Carolyn Algiere, Brian Hoey, Mary Fairchild, Andi Bissett, Katelyn Sfakianakis, Tanya Kramer, Megan Urie, and an extra-special thanks to Sherri Garron for chairing this event. We appreciate all of the love and dedication she shows Light of the World Academy.
Thank you also to all the families, staff, and students who ran and helped out in any way. - Thanks, Miss Kathy and Miss Lexi

We are so thankful for the wonderful parent league at LOTWA.
The entire staff was treated to a water bar today! 💦
Plus a 10 minute massage (not pictured) 💆🏼♀️💆🏼
We are so grateful, thank you! ❤️

Mr. Patrick's students read a book in March and then created a book recommendation. Then they competed in a March Madness bracket to choose their favorite books. Our final two books were Wings of Fire and Katamari! Check them out if you are looking for a great book.

We are hosting a Kindergarten & First Grade Open House April 17th from 6-7pm for new prospective families!
Stop by and check out what our Authentic Montessori Program has to offer 🌎🌱

Welcome to Light of the World Academy. Located in Pinckney, Michigan, our Montessori charter school doesn’t just educate kindergarten through eighth-grade students — we empower them to pursue knowledge and own their learning. Light of the World Academy follows each student’s individual growth from the child's first classroom experience until the child is prepared to move on.

While studying Ancient Greece, Mr. Patrick's class held classroom Olympics where one of the main events was competitive cup stacking!
Although not yet an official olympic sport, we may have some students looking to petition the Olympics to add a new event in the future!

When a student can teach a subject or skill back to others this is when we know a child has mastered it!
