Christian Montessori Preschool through 6th Grade

Early 3's Class

The Early 3's curriculum is a half-day program introducing the school environment and the Montessori Method.  Children should be 30-39 months and must be potty-trained to be in the Early 3's classroom.

The Early 3's classroom has a head teacher and one aide with up to 12 students.  The smaller class size allows for ease of working with younger children in a carefully prepared learning environment.  The curriculum follows that of the preschool classroom, with a strong emphasis on practical life.

Practical Life

Practical life teaches independence, consideration, coordination and order.  Practical life activities help the children care for themselves and their environment, learn social graces, develop their fine motor skills, and serve as building blocks to reading and writing.  These materials deal with everyday life such as serving their own snacks, washing dishes and watering plants- along with many more activities that teach them how to take care of their environment.

The Early 3's student is also exposed to:

Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Geography, Science, Theater and Music, Christian Education

Please refer to the Preschool curriculum for more details of each area.
