Light of the World Academy PTO Mission Statement:
To provide support and resources to our school with the purpose of enriching the educational experience of our children.

The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) at Light of the World is one of our great blessings. Parents are involved in many aspects of our school community. The PTO provides the funding for many programs designed to enrich the environment and sense of community at LOTWA.  Some of those include:

• Working together on playground and garden maintenance
• Fall Family Outing to a Farm & Pumpkin Patch (October)
• Kalahari family weekend (November)
• Christmas service at chapel
• Hartland pool family outing  (February)
• End of the school year concert and picnic

Our major fund raising events this year include:
• Scholastic Book Fair  (December)
• Little Caesar's Pizza Kit sales (January)
• Run for the Gold, a 5k run/dash  (3/17/2012)
• Annual Spring show and auction (4/28/2012)

As a volunteer, you can become involved in many ways. In addition to the above mentioned events, support is provided through the collection of Box Tops and Campbell’s labels, purchasing Scholastic Books, using sponsoring store cards or purchasing store Scripps.  The PTO also coordinates volunteers to assist the school staff in various ways during the school year.

We'd like to invite you to get involved at LOTWA by becoming involved in the PTO.  PTO meetings are held monthly throughout the year.  Please be on the look out for the dates either on the events calendar or announcements via e-mail.
